Tasks are how Gather takes action on your behalf. Acting as your AI Chief of Staff, Tasks proactively handle the follow-up, maintenance, and routine execution that keeps your firm aligned and informed—without the overhead of another system to manage.

Rather than simply surfacing information, Tasks use Gather’s AI-powered understanding of firm activity to identify what needs to happen, and take the first step toward making it happen.

Tasks are currently in beta and cannot be created manually.

What Tasks Can Do

Tasks are triggered by activity Gather sees across your connected tools—conversations, meetings, emails, calendar events, CRM changes, and more. When something important happens (or doesn’t happen), Tasks step in.

Tasks currently support:

  • CRM Syncing - Keep your Attio records automatically updated with relevant people, companies, notes, and meeting activity—no manual entry needed.
  • Summaries - Get firm-wide email updates on a daily or weekly cadence, summarizing recent conversations, meetings, and deal activity. You choose who receives them and when.
  • Meeting Agendas - Automatically generate agendas for upcoming meetings based on past interactions, shared context, and recent developments across your team.
  • Follow-Ups - Identify when a follow-up is likely needed (e.g., after a founder call or investor email) and either draft a note or notify the right person.
  • Filling in the Gaps - When context is missing—like an update on a key deal or unlogged next steps—Gather can message the appropriate teammate via iMessage or email to get the details.

Getting Started with Tasks

There’s no setup required to benefit from Tasks—once your integrations are connected, Tasks begin running automatically. You can configure frequency, recipients, or customize behavior as needed from the Tasks settings page in the admin.

Tasks are organized into categories:

  • Scheduled – like summaries or agenda prep
  • Triggered – like post-meeting follow-ups
  • Contextual – like asking a teammate for missing information

Each Task can be toggled on or off, and you can assign default recipients, channels (email or iMessage), and fallback behavior.
